Argos Battle Arena

Info

One of my favorite drills for the Argos is what i have come to call the ARGO BATTLE ARENA.  This is a practice ritual of strength, determination and endurance not unlike many cultural rites of passage rituals around the world where young men challenge each other in the name of sport.

The Argo Battle Arena brings the two senior division teams together in a circle of power.  It is a high intensity drill with Coach Jason circling, shouting the challenge and pressing the boys to step up and face off one on one.  The object of the drill – aggressively battle with your opponent driving them out of the circle or tackling them to the ground.  With each challenge the energy and intensity builds as the players feed on the charge of a conquest for their team.

The Argo Battle Arena is a drill that builds upon the aggression and ferocity that is needed to succeed in full contact football. Whether in the outer circle or facing off in the middle, the charge around the players builds over the course of the drill to a fever pitch and concludes with the two teams calling out their best players to face off against each other.  In this first Argo Battle Arena Video – ALL HAIL NAVY BLUE ARGO SENIOR CHAMPION – ERIC RODRIGUEZ.
